Recently, the National Cultural Heritage Administration and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly published the List of Testaments for the "Imprints of the Republic" and Typical Cases for Industrial Heritage Protection and Utilization. The case titled Empowering the Protection and Utilization of Gezhouba Water Control Project with New Quality Productive Forces submitted by Gezhouba Hydropower Plant of CYPC was included in the List of Typical Cases for Industrial Heritage Protection and Utilization.
A total of 100 testaments for the "Imprints of the Republic" and 77 typical cases for industrial heritage protection and utilization were selected in this event. The case Empowering the Protection and Utilization of Gezhouba Water Control Project with New Quality Productive Forces provides a comprehensive review of the decision-making, construction, operation and management of Gezhouba Water Control Project from value interpretation, preservation and inheritance, and innovative utilization. This case vividly showcases the valuable experience and innovative practices of Gezhouba Hydropower Plant in those respects, and highlights the substantial economic and social benefits that have resulted from the protection and utilization of industrial heritage. It serves as a reference model for and provides valuable insights into innovative exploration of industrial heritage value, as well as promotion of industrial culture and spirit.
In 2024, six cascade hydropower plants along the world's largest clean energy corridor, including Gezhouba, Three Gorges, Xiangjiaba, Xiluodu, Baihetan, and Wudongde hydropower plants, were included in the List of Patriotic Education Bases of Central State-owned Enterprises ("Central SOEs"). CYPC will be committed to promoting the spirit of patriotism and the Three Gorges spirit by managing revolutionary resources such as patriotic education bases and industrial heritage, and advancing digital transformation and ecological improvements through cultivating and developing new quality productive forces, thus transforming the green "corridor" into a significant revolutionary education base for deepening people's love for the Party and the country and fostering their national spirit.
