Recently, CYPC's achievements in compliance management of international business won several awards. Notably, the case titled “Building of A Compliance System for Overseas Business of CYPI” was selected as one of the 6th Typical Cases for "Belt and Road" Compliance and Legal Services by the Legal Daily. The papers, Overseas Compliance Management Practices Derived from the Compliance Management of LDS and Innovation in Overseas Compliance Management of Central SOEs: Experience from Compliance Management of Listed Companies in South America, won the Special Award at the 3rd Compliance Management Achievement Recommendation Event of Power Enterprises and the First Prize at the 12th Management Innovation Paper Competition of Power Enterprises, respectively.
Since the acquisition of LDS, CYPC has placed heightened emphasis on compliance management in international business. Under the guidance of China Three Gorges Corporation, CYPC, with its affiliated CYPI taking the lead in management, has mastered the cross-border compliance requirements across various jurisdictions, including mainland China, Hong Kong, and Peru. CYPC has made substantial progress in building a compliance system in critical areas, such as anti-corruption and anti-commercial bribery in overseas countries, cross-border data protection and information security, dual information disclosure for listed companies at home and abroad, and capital market regulation. The compliance requirements have been incorporated into business operations through system revisions, procedural standardization, and preparation of operational manuals. In addition, CYPC has established a distinctive leading compliance management system for power enterprises in South America based on full consideration of local conditions by creatively leveraging the important roles of legal case management, audit supervision, and other strategies in compliance control.
